Job Summary:

  • Drive oral care product development initiatives by integrating technology breakthroughs and consumer insights to support business growth

  • Work with cross-functional partners to translate and visualize technology into compelling product concepts, claims, and demos 

  • Collaborate among Product Development, Global Innovation & Implementation (GII) team and Supply Chain to realize technology and accelerate speed-to-market

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate potential new technologies that are scientifically sound, efficacious and consumer insight-based

  2. Leverage the right technical expertise and demonstrate creativity to deploy fundamental research internally and externally

  3. Stay abreast of the latest technical developments and breakthroughs by drawing on industry contacts, scientific literature, conferences, and patent filings

  4. Enable successful technology transfer for project implementation, complying with relevant Quality Standard requirements

  5. Manage projects independently, collaborate cross-functionally and cross-geographically

  6. Routinely provide project update through written reports and presentations

  7. Implement applicable Corporate Quality Standards and ensure GLP in the laboratory and pilot, support and conduct plant FP&R, EHS and Quality related requirements.

 

Required qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Master’s Degree or above with major in Chemistry related (Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Material Science or similar fields)

  • Preferably 1-2 years of R&D experience in FMCG

 

Key competencies:

  • Analytical and innovative thinking, be passionate about science and capable to conduct research

  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral English

  • Knowledge in Design of Experiment and statistical software 

  • Effective project management and priority setting skills 

  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, laboratory operation and Quality systems
