About the Role

Do you want to come to work with a smile and leave with one as well? At Colgate-Palmolive, our dependable household brands and sustainability commitments make us a company passionate about building a future to smile about.

Are you a tech-savvy student who loves organizing chaos? Do you want to see how a global supply chain operation transitions from traditional methods to a digital-first future? As a Digital Operations & Process Improvement (DOPI) Intern, you will act as a vital bridge between our daily operational needs and our future digital goals. You will spend your time ensuring our current operations run smoothly while driving the adoption of new digital tools on the shop floor. This is a highly collaborative role where you will be the "Digital Champion" for our operations team!

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)

Digital Transformation & Project Implementation

  • Change Management & Training: Act as the "Digital Champion" on the floor. Help shift operators learn new applications, create simple "How-To" user guides (SOPs), and troubleshoot issues during the rollout of new digital tools.

  • Data Digitization Strategy: Lead the migration of historical physical records into a structured, searchable digital database, designing a logical filing system for future sustainability.

  • Operational Analytics: Assist in cleaning, organizing, and structuring raw production data so it is ready for management analysis and dashboard integration.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Department Coordination: Act as the central nervous system for the Operations team by managing schedules, coordinating critical meetings, performing data entry, and ensuring action items are tracked.

  • Information Management: Maintain and audit our filing systems (both physical and digital) to ensure we are always audit-ready and strictly compliant with global standards.

  • Ad-Hoc Problem Solving: Support Operations Managers with day-to-day challenges, from preparing presentation decks and reports to organizing team events.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

  • Availability: Able to commit to a full-time internship for a duration of 3 to 6 months.

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Management, or a related field.

  • The "Tech Translator": You are comfortable learning new software quickly, but more importantly, you can explain it simply and patiently to someone who isn't tech-savvy.

  • Tech Proficiency: Advanced skills in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Drive) are essential. Familiarity with Google AppSheet, Looker Studio, or PowerBI is a huge plus.

  • Highly Organized: You love structure and get satisfaction from turning a messy pile of papers into a perfectly labeled digital folder.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. You must be confident speaking with everyone from Plant Managers to Production Operators.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
Our journey begins with our people—developing strong talent with diverse backgrounds and perspectives  to best serve our consumers around the world and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging. We are dedicated to ensuring that each individual can be their authentic self, is treated with respect, and is empowered by leadership to contribute meaningfully to our business.
