Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:

The incumbent is part of the Customer Supply Chain team at the branch, which is a crucial link between the Branch and Head Office Supply Chain. The incumbent supports the CSCM, who is a key member of the Branch Customer Development Team (CDT) to deliver service levels to customers in an optimized, cost effective manner.  The incumbent will help drive new initiatives & projects that boost performance, giving MIS along with analysis, follow up and highlighting exceptions / areas of concerns. The incumbent supports the CSCM to ensure that the warehouses/transporters in the branch adhere to Colgate’s laid down practices.

 

Responsibilities:

A. Safety & Quality
1. Drive Safety and quality conformance on a daily basis at the Warehouse & secondary transportation network2. Identify key opportunities to enable a 100% safe and quality compliant Warehouse & secondary transportation network

B. Order to Invoice
1. Co-odination of daily order execution with warehouse and secondary transporters2. Resolution of Customer complaints in coordination with warehouse
3. Generate & publish monthly E-Order sheets based on the active SKUs / grid for the month
4. Exception management for Order to Invoice process (Order/RTGS/SKU substitution)
5. Collaborate with the CD team to drive SOP wrt FDD, VMI, Order placement / RTGS, Deviations, etc.

C. Inventory management
1. Deploy hub to end warehouse movements stock movement maximizing case fill for the branch2. Execute ad hoc reverse movements / cross warehouse movements for stock re-balancing
3. Flag low / high coverage SKUs to Planning / CD to optimize inventory at the warehouse 
4. Daily analysis of case fill loss
5. Conduct monthly & annual stock counts as per stock count schedule;  reconcile loss / gain reports and close inventory posting in SAP
6. Execute SKU liquidation and ensure FIFO is followed in the warehouse for billing
7. Execute Point of Purchase (POP) dispatches and ageing analysis

D. VMI Execution 
1. Execute monthly VMI cycle (averages, norms and active SKU)2. Generation & closure of VMI averages in coordination with CD team basis STT trends
3. Collaborate with CD team to increase / maintain the VMI coverage and effectiveness through periodic cadence
4. Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement in the VMI process

E. Projects
1. Execution of key strategic projects like WMS Implementation / Case Traceability2. Collaborate with Central Logistics team & other stakeholders to drive successful delivery of the projects like FTG opporunities, network realignment / WH transitions

F. KPI governance
1. Monthly reviews of the KPIs through CDT & HO Meetings

G. Compliance 
1. Drive CIG and regulatory Agenda within the warehouse2. Preparation & Closure of open audit points within set timelines
3. NRR Reporting with zero error

H. KPIs
1. "Safety first" - ensure 100% safe workplace - Zero SIF in Warehouses2. Fill Rate >98% across categories
3. VMI Effectiveness and FDD compliance
4. On time delivery
5. Stock hygiene (SLOB/OSMI, damages)
6. Audit readiness & Closures
7. Sustainability: Reduction in carbon footprint

1. Customer Development (CD): Branch Manager, Regional Managers, Area managers & CDOs (Indirect Trade & Channels) 2. Customer Service & Logistics (CSNL): Primary Transportation Team,  Demand & Supply Planners, Logistics Excellence, Plant Quality Teams, Customer Engagement Team
3. Finance: Branch Finance Team
4. Retail Marketing - Branch Retail Marketing Team

J. External Stakeholders
1. Secondary Transportation 2. Warehouse Managers & Staff

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Sound understanding of supply chain processes
  • Minimum 2 years experience in managing logistics, warehousing, and secondary transportation.
  • Proven ability to drive new initiatives and projects.
  • Experience in a role that requires good communication skills
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry preferred
