About The Role
The Professional Oral Care Consultant (Bogotá) is responsible for influencing and building long-term partnerships with dental professionals to make Colgate oral care products an integral part of their practice, ensuring that Colgate is the brand they personally use, use in their dental office, and actively recommend most often to their patients. This position acts as a direct interface with accounts in an assigned geographic territory (different types of accounts exist and are defined as general dental and specialty practices, government accounts, private accounts, dental schools, dental clinics, pharmacies and dental distributors/depots). The OCC will achieve predetermined brand usage, recommendation and account sales KPI’s that align with annual territory budget goals.
What you will do
- Develop and strengthen the partnership between Colgate and groups of accounts (general and specific dental practices, Key Opinion leaders, government accounts, private accounts, dental hospitals, dental schools, public health centers, pharmacies and distributors / dental depots) in an established territory.
- Influence the target audience to achieve business results in recommendations and sales by executing an engagement and marketing plan in their territory: Aim to achieve the highest productivity impacting the target audience based on the coverage and frequency objectives established by the company.
- Ensure an optimal quality of the panel of dentists in charge (Potential and Adoption based on the criteria defined by the company) by having a systematic, periodic review of it and timely updates.
- Effectively educate and communicate the key attributes on our products, technologies and science to influence dentists and their staff to actively recommend and buy Colgate products.
- Develop a deep knowledge on the account and/or dentist: Identify needs and opportunities through open ended questions and market data analysis.
- Update continuously the CRM database with relevant account information.
- Work closely and generate synergies with the Drugstores & Pharmacies commercial team (sales executives and merchandisers) to increase sell out: review product presence and correct distribution of Colgate products at pharmacies and drugstores which are nearby key dental offices.
- Work closely with distributors / dental and pharmaceutical depots if necessary to ensure product orders are complete, correct and delivered on time to ensure Colgate's reputation for best-in-class customer service.
- Understand the weaknesses of competing products and ethically convince and convert accounts to Colgate technologies for better patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- At least +6 months of professional experience (Sales, Marketing, Dentistry or similar positions)
- Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Health Science, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields.
- Intermediate-advanced English level
- Google Suite & Microsoft office proficiency
- Active driver's license
Preferred qualifications
- Experience visiting healthcare professionals (oral health or others)
- Presentation techniques
- Analytical and Planning skills.
- Problem solving skills, together with the ability to predict / respond to immediate professional situations of the external and internal OC environment.
