About the Role

Are you a curious and detail-oriented scientist ready to accelerate product innovation in a collaborative laboratory environment? As an Assistant Scientist, you will play a hands-on role in formula development, stability testing, and preliminary feasibility assessments for new technologies. Working alongside cross-functional experts in Safety, Regulatory, and Process Development, you will translate consumer insights into high-performing methods and finished products while maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Formula & Technology Development: Assist in formula development, stability testing, and lab performance evaluations to support product claims and translate consumer insights into viable products.

  • Project & Data Management: Execute assigned research projects on schedule, analyzing experimental data, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks, and drafting technical reports, SOPs, and presentations.

  • Cross-Functional & Tech Transfer: Partner with Safety, Regulatory, Analytical, Microbiology, and Process Development teams to compile data for seamless technology transfer and product scale-up.

  • Quality & Compliance Execution: Document all activities in compliance with Quality systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Laboratory Safety (EOHS): Safely handle chemical, steam, gas, and solvent operations, implementing preventive and corrective actions to uphold EOHS and Quality standards.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.

  • At least 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience within product development, formulation, or analytical laboratory environments.

  • Intermediate English proficiency.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge in analytical methods, rheology, emulsion chemistry, surfactants, and mixing processes.

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple laboratory projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
