Scope of Responsibility:

Responsible for supporting new product introductions, innovations and portfolio changes inclusive of changes to formulae, packaging, structures, artwork, sourcing location,  margin improvement and regulatory, that include but are not limited to: conducting feasibility assessment, build a proper execution project plan and act as a project leader in its execution, including closing the project and completing a continuous improvement review (CIR), driving product simplification, cost control while managing category product portfolio 

Represent Category E2E as the primary interface with other Colgate functions in relation to new product introductions and any changes that may impact the portfolio.  

Key interfaces are Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Network Design, Supply Network Planning, Research & Development, Packaging, Quality, Supply & Demand, Procurement, Customer Service & Logistics, Regulatory and other division Network Operations teams.  

 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • New Product, Innovation And Portfolio Changes – based on identified business and sourcing strategy work on the markets request for the new products development and portfolio changes

    • Be primary point of contact for Commercial functions, ensuring alignment between commercial requests and supply chain strategy   

    • Act as Project Manager, interacting with Plants, Procurement, Packaging, Global Technology and Quality to validate project feasibility and risks while creating Project’s Timeline, maintaining timeline accurate at all time

    • Validate project interdependencies avoiding overlapping   

    • Ensure key milestones are completed on time while  reviewing timeline accordingly and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders providing  update and informing of project completion

    • Ensure escalation is activated in the event of risks, delayed on agreed launch date and/or request for reduction in project timeline

    • Optimize cost and waste incurred during project planning and execution

    • Conduct a continuous improvement review (CIR), closing the project with a handover protocol 

    • Leverage existing/new tools as Smartsheet to drive project effectiveness

 

  • Margin Improvement and Cost Control - Driver of margin improvement and cost optimization on portfolio changes

    • Coordinate Division Funding the Growth Program, working with End to End Supply Chain, Research & Development, Commercial, Finance and other Divisions teams to deliver annual savings goal

    • Ensure governance for cost control of new products and portfolio changes is in place and enforced

    • Monitor and optimizes operational cost related to new products and portfolio change, including but not limited to capital investment, factory testing and readiness, artwork and design development, dies and molds, material transitions, write off and inventory

 

  • Portfolio Simplification - Owner of formula and structure of Portfolio assigned

    • Support efforts in Europe, Africa and Eurasia formula and packaging harmonization / standardization of bundle across regions and factories

    • Ensure governance for portfolio management is place and enforced with all stakeholders, included but not limited to product introductions, transitions and discontinuations 

    • Conduct formula and structure reviews in liaison with Marketing, Research & Development, Manufacturing and Packaging

    • Maintain formula and structure catalog updated 

 

This position requires the following qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a technical/economical field (engineering, logistics, procurement, R&D, or other), 

Experience: 8+ years of E2E experience with focus in Manufacturing, Packaging, CS&L, Procurement, Engineering and/ or product development.

 

 -Skills:

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Team Coordination and autonomy to keep track of Project’s KPIs 

  • Leadership and capability to drive changes 

  • Ability to adapt to changes without disruption 

  • Demonstrated project management skills and is able to work in virtual teams 

  • Practical experience with plant and product cost structures, SAP and BW 

  • Possesses strong mathematical skills and is able to analyze large amounts of complex data to formulate conclusions and recommendations 

  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills 

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant

  • Experience working in CS&L

  • Experience working in packaging, planning or procurement

  • Experience in Project Management
