Scope of Responsibility: 


The role is responsible for effectively managing making activities in the shift, maintaining positive employee relations, daily production schedule adherence, customer service, Area financial performance, Quality, Micro, EOHS, labour relations, people and team development
Toothpaste manufacturing involves 2 core activities viz. Making & Finishing. In the making department, Gel/cream is prepared and transferred to finishing line thereby making it a critical aspect of the Operations function. The Team Leader is an effective and valuable member of the Management team to ensure delivery of business results in his area. This position requires to have considerable interface with Planning and Warehousing.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • To manage batch production, people, materials and equipments, track and analyse variances associated with materials and finished product to achieve KPIs
  • Execution of continuous improvement programs, 
    Manufacturing cost reduction program
  • Maintaining discipline, positive employee relations 
  • Ensuring training for their team, information sharing and carrying out the PMS process for associates and PM&D for own
  • Driving and Adherence to the standards and expectations  laid down under EOHS, Quality and FP&R in all operations and processes in the area
  • Adherence to policies & procedures of the company , production processes and systems/SOP’s & regulatory requirements
  • Identify, recommend and implement 
  • Execute new technology in the area and drive funding the Growth initiative
  • To lead assigned Kaizen Event and drive improvement in the area.
  • Coaching to the Team and build capability for the assigned brigade to build flexibility.
  • Ensure operational excellence is achieved by timely closure of Walkthrough observation.
  • To Drive FP & R programme in the are by active participation in Small group activity/Kaizen/OPL/RCA Process.

 

Education:

 

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Production/Electrical/Mechanical) 

 

Experience:

 

  • Should have exposure of at least 1 year  in making operations
  • 2-4 Years is preferable
