Area Manager Dental Channel - North/Center

 

 

What you will do

Develop brand and commercial strategy for the Dental Channel in close collaboration with Consumer Experience team, Division and CD team lead.

Manage dental field team (approx 20+ people, Center-North Italy Area) and secure continuous team competencies and field activities enhancement by implementing divisional and local plans and enablers.

Supervises and monitors field activities execution, compliance and performance on prioritized dental professionals / offices according to local targets and Div KPIs (field days, visits per day, reporting, classification and prioritization of segments).

Connect Dental Profession / Pharmacists to drive in-office use, branded recommendation and demand.

The role reports to Senior Customer Development Manager Pharma & Dental.

 

 Lead team to:

  • Grow recommendations, generate demand, achieve sales & SOM targets in the assigned territory per OC sub-category and PPs

  • Ensure coverage requirements achievement incl Face to Face and remote detailing

  • Implement assigned n. of contracts with customers (e.g. dental = annual agreements for patient sampling programs, contracts & annual purchase quantities for e.g. CHX, TBs, etc.)

  • Executes regular co-visits with his/her OCCs and monitors adoption of coaching input (3-4/YR)

  • Organizes and leads regional team meetings and has an active role in national team meetings

  • Prepares and presents business reports and analysis on area and team performance, maximizing usage of automated company tools and templates

  • Implements action plans related to dental recommendation targets and identified areas of weakness, tracks adherence and independently drives corrective action

  • Defines / monitors OCCs sales / SOM targets, supervises progress and course correct

  • Monitors & supports adequate classification & prioritization of segments in OCC regions  according to local targets and in line with divisional guidelines.

  • Lead on calculation and on communication of bonus / targets payments ensuring cross functional support and cross-check with finance, HR and external providers

  • Conduct training courses and 1-to-many events

  • Effectively lead on distribution partners / special accounts collaboration with focus on sales and/or recommendation enhancement, aligns with Education Mgrs as appropriate 

  • Systematically collects and gives feedback on competitors’ activity, provides input on prof samples planning and communication tools

  • Participates in  sub / hub Marketing / Dental & Pharma engagement projects as needed representing the go to person for the Dental channel 

  • Identifies, escalates and implements new opportunities to increase recommendation and sales 

 

 Education/Experiences 

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, a Degree Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Biological Science would be considered a plus  

  • Minimum 5 yrs of relevant commercial experience with solid experience in customer facing roles and relevant experience in a Pharmaceutical company 

  • Languages: Italian fluent, English fluent

  • Driving license 

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Project management

  • People management

  • Self-starter who can work well both independently and across multi-level stakeholder groups

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change in a fast paced environment

  • Proficient in Google suite of products (especially in Sheets, Docs & Slides)

  • Proven commercial understanding, analytical skills, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to drive executional excellence and business results
