The Director, Quality - Skin Health acts as the primary quality contact for Skin Health Category holding category accountability and ensuring compliance with regional quality standards and regulations. This role combines the responsibilities of divisional quality oversight and technical services leadership to ensure the highest product quality and successful launches of new skin health products. 

 

What you will do

Primary Contact and Skin Health-Category Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary quality contact within the Skin Health division & hold cross-category responsibility for ensuring quality compliance and excellence.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regional and international quality standards and regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.

Quality Improvement Initiatives:

  • Lead and implement both global and regional quality improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Technology, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to ensure Right First Time (RFT) design and execution for all new and existing products.

Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical oversight for new product launches and ongoing quality maintenance.

  • Resolve technical issues and drive technical excellence.

  • Integrate QbD principles into product development.

  • Ensure quality is built into products from the initial design phase through to production.

  • Ensure the Technology Transfer process for new products is executed in accordance with Global Quality Standard requirements. 

Quality Performance Monitoring:

  • Own regional quality performance and report to the Global Quality Leader.

  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor quality performance.

Team Management:

  • Manage Quality Managers and develop and deliver technical training programs for quality personnel.

Consumer Feedback and Enhancement:

  • Incorporate consumer feedback into quality improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure sustained product excellence and align products with consumer expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Technology teams to drive quality and compliance.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive quality strategies and execution.

Crisis Management: 

  • Coordinate crisis management related to major Skin Health quality issues.

External Manufacturer : 

  • Support the Quality on-boarding process for new External Manufacturers and monitoring of existing ones. 

  • Ensure swift implementation of CAPA and other Follow-up action plans.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 12+ years of industrial experience preferably in Skin Health or Personal Care, which may include positions in Quality, R&D, Operations, or Regulatory.

  • Thorough understanding of the regulatory environment within the region.

  • Close connection with the Regulatory team, R&D, Marketing, and Plants, and identifying the impact on Quality.

  • Application of continuous improvement tools to effect positive change.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree, a Ph.D. and/or Post-Graduate Degree in Management.

  • Clear, simple, and timely communication of information.

  • Proficient in Google tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) SAP PDM or Dashlab.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $156,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
