Major Responsibilities:

  1. Provide to Product Development and Implementation & Support groups reliable technical information on stability behavior of new products, chemical properties of experimental and alternative raw materials; and potential formulations of competitors, through utilization of analytical instrumentation, integration and interpretation of analytical data and research. 

  2. Support the Product Development process and implementation by providing analytical method development, validation, optimization and qualification for new raw material and formulas. 

  3. Support business strategies of simplification and innovation through developing and implementing analytical strategies, building relationships with business partners and external research organizations, and benchmarking innovative technologies. 

  4. Lead instrument or new technologies evaluation projects, as well as technology transfer and rollout. 

  5. Manage analytical research projects; develop routes of analysis and support research projects, identify analytical technologies to support innovative initiatives to provide analytical solutions to R&D partners. 

  6. Recommend specific analytical requirements for raw material and formula specification; recommend and implement appropriate action for establishing patents. 

  7. Ensure laboratory records meet data integrity requirements. 

  8. Oversee maintenance, calibration, qualification and troubleshooting of instrumentation. 

  9. Develop relationships with global analytical support groups to share results, best practices and new methodologies. 


Required qualifications


Education/ Experience:

  • Preferred (Asset): Master’s Degree - MAJOR: Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related sciences. 

  • - Required: Bachelor’s Degree - MAJOR: Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related sciences. 

  • 3 Years and above of Consumer Goods/Pharmaceutical Industry Experience Required 


Key competencies:

  • Project management under complexity and pressure

  • Fluent in English and proficiency in computer

  • Results oriented
