The Sourcing Specialist/Associate Sourcing Manager, Media/Agency is responsible for assisting with sourcing activities which support internal and external stakeholder while delivering efficiencies and optimization in the Media/Agency Category. The position is responsible for promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through brand, category management and strategic sourcing activities. Primary responsibilities include: supporting stakeholders in Marketing in the areas of Working Media, Non-Working Media, Advertising Production, and the Agency fee management for traditional and digital media for Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Additionally, this position would serve as a liaison with the North America Colgate Media IP leads. The Associate Sourcing Manager will ensure that a sound sourcing process is implemented in compliance with the Global Procurement guidelines.

 

Core responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leads the engagement of the internal stakeholders i.e. divisional Marketing leads for Hill’s, to understand local Media business context and needs to build the pipeline of projects that have that highest savings potential
  • Leads and oversees a roll-out of the divisional IP Media strategies for Working Media, Advertising Production, and Agency Fee Management within Hill’s
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and agency partners to develop the local media value tracking mechanism in order to report Funding the Growth savings/added value
  • Accountable for developing pipeline and delivering Funding the Growth goals
  • Partners with IMC/Marketing leads on establishes agencies’ evaluation process to set up benchmarks for scope of work (SOW) development and tracking, feedback mechanism for continuous improvement, as well as monthly fee management process
  • Assists Hill’s Marketing stakeholders and Colgate-Palmolive Media Lead in the monthly and quarterly agency fee management process
  • Manages and is accountable for the out-of scope agency fees for Hill’s
  • Accountable to develop simplification strategy for Agency spend
  • Assists in the development and roll-out of the IP strategy to oversee Advertising Production in the region
  • Executes pre-sourcing, sourcing, and post- sourcing management of media spends
  • Leads all request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) for the Media and Agency categories, and other procurement e-tools and process such as eSourcing, eBUY, and PSA
  • Participates in and partners with the lead of the global media circles initiative

 

Basic qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, CS&L or Financial experience
  • 2 or more years of Media environment experience

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • An advanced degree (MBA) is desirable.
  • Experience using SAP
  • In-depth knowledge of planning and buying of traditional and digital Media
  • Familiarity with advertising production , marketing and advertising operations for above and below the line activities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in vendor evaluations
  • Understanding of Advertising & Marketing agency operations
  • Proven success as a collaborative team leader
  • Self-starter, team player, effective leader and keen on working in cross-cultural working environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
