Job Title:        eCommerce Analyst CZ+SK

Location:        Prague, Czech Republic (Work permint required)


Job Summary

The local eCommerce analyst is the local expert on e-commerce and digital insight. The position holder will provide critical input for the local strategy of customer development through actionable insights about needs, attitudes, behaviors and purchase triggers across the pet and vet nutrition categories. Success in the role will involve bringing insight to life to have maximum impact on business decisions. This position also support CD department in Czech and Slovakian business.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities






Monitoring web shops (competitors and partners) on a daily basis to identify problems and opportunities

  • Establishing and sustaining strong relationships customer insight, marketing and third party suppliers (syndicated data, data mining company, online specialists etc.) to stay on top of emerging insights and tools in this area                                                                                                                                                
  • Sourcing, organizing, conducting and reporting in-depth analyses of diverse data (e.g. web shop pages, e-commerce data sets, shopper loyalty card data, market share scan, point of sale and other syndicated sources) to identify problems and opportunities


Supporting Customer Development CZ/SK  team

  • Evaluation of the business, cooperation with partners on a periodic base; keeping up to date the files shared with the partners; business and sales documentary evidence, CRM maintenance


Improving local performance of key clients in cooperation with the customer and Center of Excellence; checking up with counterpart weekly

  • Improving effectiveness and efficiency of online path-to-purchase initiatives by utilizing learning across data sources (incl. counterparts)                                 
  • Checking if local eCommerce efforts are aligned with the regionally dictated terms


Preparation of inputs for new campaign and its execution in collaboration with the Center of Excellence

  • Collecting and analysing of fact-based insights to create persuasive customer-centric campaigns that achieve Hill’s and customers’ joint business objectives

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent required
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Native Czech or Slovak speaker with fluent English language


Expected Areas of Skills

  • Experience in dashboard building
  • Experience working directly with retailers is an advantage
  • CPG analytics experience as advantage 


The positions is suitable for graduates with strong analytical skills.

Travel Requirements

Expected percentage of travel:  Up to 15 %
