As a Sales Operation Manager for Hill’s Pet Nutrition, you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of Customer Development Team business plans within the stores.  This will involve developing process, plans, and communication for Hill’s, Crossmark and Superstore field teams.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with Superstore Regional VP’s to improve our influence and execution across the US. 
  • Developing processes and communication vehicles to deliver clear, actionable information to the Hill’s DM’s/TM’s. 
  • Developing and executing education plans with Superstore Corporate education teams to increase Brand Recommended Most Often with Store Associates

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build relationship with Superstore Regional operations team by meeting regularly to share plans, business results and updates on corporate & store level activities. Influence to drive sales and support of Hill’s local field team.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to educate, motivate, and incentivize the TM’s/NC’s to deliver a better sales result.
  • Participate in Hill’s Field team region meetings, sharing knowledge about Superstore systems/operations and procedures to make TM's most effective
  • Develop training and education materials for both store associates and field sales to improve execution and BRMO in store eg. e-learning tools, handbooks, coaching cards, store huddles, selling/business presentations and etc.
  • Organize in-store merchandising activities such as planogram resets, IRCs, POP and display compliance.
  • Create monthly planners for Hill’s TM/NC team that clearly communicates the priorities for the month, including key display, education and promotional activities.
  • Lead engagement with Superstore training groups to ensure Associates are well educated on Hill's products
  • Ensure compliance of business plans and shopper marketing initiatives that support the monthly/quarterly promotional activities.

 

Basic qualifications include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields
  • 7+ years’ experience in field sales 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a Consumer Packages Good industry specifically pet specialty
  • 2+ years key account management experience
  • MBA   

 

Expected Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with customer focused and be capable of working on a cross functional team 
  • Process strong personal leadership to effectively coordinate among our internal and Superstore teams
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively provide training and education to varied audiences
  • Have working knowledge of sales promotions, executional plans and in-store merchandizing
