Position: Vet Territory Executive

Location:   Bangkok, Thailand


Job Summary;

  • Provide a direct work with specialist pet retail operators at store level to ensure the highest levels of specialist endorsement, visibility and assortment for Hill´s and its brands. Be responsible for optimal coverage of the territory both in current and potential customers (within distribution guidelines). Communicate persuasively the technical superiority, practical application and commercial benefits of Hill´s products, resulting in increased distribution, recommendation and sales in specialist pet stores in the assigned territory.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities;

  • In co-operation with the line manager, develop sales plans, implementing these to achieve the objectives and targets set for the Pet Channel.
  • Monitor the achievement of specified accounts objectives and develop, prepare and implement plans for remedial action where necessary.
  • Represent Hill´s Pet Nutrition as the strategic partner of choice in super premium nutrition to specified specialist pet retail customers, through regular store visits, meetings and educational programs.
  • Deliver information on Hill´s products and services through excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills.
  • Conduct effective and professional business meetings.
  • Implement sales and marketing activities for Hill´s, to ensure achievement of volume and share objectives, rapid acceptance, endorsement and distribution of new products, increased distribution on existing product lines, establishment of shelf space in line with objectives and as directed by line manager, establishment of merchandising standard methodology
  • Handle the assigned budget and ensure timely submission of POs to head office
  • Order recommendation and agreement with customer and collect orders
  • Monthly sales review based on customer KPIs and report back to CDM
  • In co-operation with the line manager develop an optimal contact infrastructure with customers, organizations and key influencer within the Pet Channel to secure an optimal position for Hill´s and the sales of products.
  • Deliver professional sales support (seminars, meetings, merchandising) to specified customers as necessary to enable achievement by customer of agreed objectives.
  • Represent Hill´s at meetings/conferences (e.g. Trade Shows, Regional Meetings, Store Open Days,).
  • Follow agreed call value (coverage, frequency, productivity) and use the 6-steps-to-win process in the call.
  • Plan activities to improve visiting plans to most effectively cover current and potential Pet Channel customers designated within in the territory with the available resources.
  • Keep tabs on trends in the specialist pet market and of competitive activity and report on new activity to center.
  • Maintain current and accurate records in the Hill’s reporting system : of all outlets in the territory / of all professional and administrative activities/ T&E submission


Required Qualifications;

  • Basic qualification: Bachelor degree required
  • Experience in field sales, preferably in a FMCG company or nutrition company
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, and ability to learn company specific programs
  • Full and valid driver´s license required
  • Travel Requirement : Up to 90%
