We invite applicants for the position of Team Leader for the BSBF team based in Baltimore, MD. This position provides on-site and remote front line leadership and supervision for Community Awareness Representatives (CAR’s) and Leader Community Awareness Representatives (LCARs) in the Customer Fulfillment organization.  This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, applicable laws, and DOT regulations.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; conducting performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching employees, as well as managing customer service issues and/or opportunities.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Conducts Targeted Selection applicant interviews and recommends hiring
  • Develops training for Customer Fulfillment that will improve efficiency and effectiveness to safely deliver world class customer and community service and safety training for BSBF team. 
  • Facilitates training and meetings. 
  • Coaches direct reports through performance management. Conducts performance appraisals and recommends salary increases.
  • Manages and monitors CAR/LCAR performance to SOPs, Field Guide, Company Guidelines, policies and procedures and coaches direct reports through performance management. 
  • Manages payroll, overtime and vacations scheduling.  Documents all issues that arise throughout the day.
  • Acts as the Lead resource for the BSBF van repairs, DOT questions, Safety issues, Excel, financial issues, etc  Ensures DOT compliance through coaching and the utilization of Telogis technology
  • Provide BSBF program support by providing on-site coverage, when necessary. 
  • Provide on-going timely support for BSBF branding of dental vans, including any repairs, graphics,  and/or new equipment
  • Assist Programmatic Manager with  third party vendors supporting operational and programmatic activity 
  • Oversee compliance of documentation  into the NCP and report non-compliance
  • Researches and implements cost savings initiatives for all teams. Creates and develops initiatives that will significantly improve/increase productivity and/or safety.

 

Basic qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related field
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • 3-5 years experience in supervising employees
  • 3-5 years experience in managing transportation related activities
  • 3-5 years prior experience in a customer service intensive industry
  • Familiar with DOT regulations

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Physical capability to cover on site events for unscheduled absences.
  • Prior experience in budget and financial responsibilities
  • Commercial Drivers License Class A or B
