Job Purpose

Manage professional brand to deliver all KPIs including net sales, prescription/application generation, margin and professional recommendation objectives.


Main Responsibilities

  • Manage Professional brand to deliver net sales, prescription/application generation, margin and professional recommendation objectives

  • Communicate all risks and opportunities within brand responsibility on a timely basis to Group Brand Manager

  • Manage advertising and promotions budget for brand, using key processes including A&P tracker and Ebuy

  • Manage product training for all Oral Care Consultants to drive knowledge of brand and clinical studies (ensure compliance with pharmacovigilence requirements)

  • Manage volume and forecasting communication to customer development teams – specifically wholesaler & pharmacy stock to ensure sufficient supply

  • Manage communications to OCC team on brand products, including development of detailing materials, roll out of product knowledge during Trimester meetings

  • Ensure timely communication as required with key internal stakeholders on brand issues or activities (Customer Development, CS&L, Finance, Consumer Affairs, Consumer Insights, Division Professional Marketing)

  • Own the development and implementation of 1000 day strategy & annual brand plan for brand and ensure full stakeholder buy-in

  • Work with Scientific affairs manager to develop & liaise with KOLs

  • Create and implement specific programmes following brand plan to drive use of brand across the UK

  • Ensure 100% compliance with Pharmacovigilance procedures and reporting of Adverse Events in line with procedures


Personal Attributes

  • Educated to degree level

  • Highly competent commercial and analytical skills

  • Previous strong healthcare experience – either dental, pharmaceutical or OTC products and a desire to succeed in this field

  • Personal presence that (1) commands respect/trust and the ability to build strong relationships quickly throughout CP’s matrix structure and (2) commands respect/trust to be gained from dental professionals & government officials, esp. Department of health

  • Confidence and gravitas to challenge the status quo and influence people at all levels of the organisation

  • Inquisitive, proactive and challenging to identify new opportunities for improvement and proactively work with other functions to gain buy-in and initiate change 

  • Team player – motivate and enthuse others 

  • Excellent communication skills and authoritative approach - sought out by others for opinion
