Group Brand Manager

Reporting to:             Marketing Manager

Direct Reports:         Senior Brand Manager/Brand Manager

 

Job Purpose

  • Lead designated Direct Reports and manage defined category/categories to deliver all KPIs including share, net sales & margin. Take responsibility for specific marketing projects and deliverables in the marketing team.

 

Main Responsibilities

Portfolio and People Responsibility

 

  • Lead the NE HUB business within assigned category to deliver against targets (Share, NS & Margin)

 

Drive Brand Passion  

  • Be the voice of the brand and drive brand passion across the HUB.
  • Conduct brand inductions with new starters and for onsite retailer meetings as required.

 

Business Analysis

  • Communicate all risks and opportunities within portfolio responsibility on a timely basis to MM.
  • Responsible for business & campaign analysis along with recommendations to continually improve.
  • Proactive assessment and escalation of incremental growth opportunities.

 

Business Strategy Development

  • Lead development & alignment of Budget Review supporting the creation of rowth grids 
  • Lead development & alignment of Mid-Year review process, identifying course corrective actions necessary to achieve set targets.

 

Deliver Innovation with Excellence

  • Lead the HUB Innovation Go to Market Process (Gateway) aligning  internal stakeholders on future innovation plans (from subs to NE HUB directors)
  • Participate in divisional go to market teams to support in the development of go to market materials (shopper toolkit & trade engagement materials)
  • Responsible for HUB the yearly brand planning to drive organisation excitement for the following years plans delivery UK retailer presentation across select accounts.
  • Support brand manager in the approval of innovation artworks across the HUB 

 

Media Planning & Budget Management

  • Work with external agencies (media planning & PR) to develop plans to maximise mental availability.
  • Lead the execution of media plans, supporting brand manager in the adaptation of divisional assets.
  • Manage advertising and promotions budget using key processes including A&P tracker and Ebuy.

 

 

 

People Management

  • Participate actively in recruitment for marketing vacancies and across the wider commercial team.
  • Management and development of direct reports, including salary planning.  Provide direct reports
  • Support in setting IOs and developing and implementing IDPs. Salary planning for direct reports.

 

Project Responsibility

 

  • Marketing lead for assigned ‘expertise’ projects
  • European Go To Market team member (where applicable)
  • Funding the Growth
  • Local Agency Roster
  • Marketing Exhibits

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • Several years of previous experience working in Marketing, Professional Marketing or Customer Marketing
  • Degree in Marketing , Business or related subject
