Position Purpose:


Develop Demand Services Category Sourcing Strategies for Brazil, in the areas of Freight, Warehousing  and Copacking, aligned with regional and global direction. Lead Procurement projects implementation, negotiation and bidding process. Keep a strong market knowledge in Logistics to identify early opportunities to secure the most competitive logistics cost and high service levels. Apply Simplification best practices, and keep a reasonable number of preferred vendors.


Main Responsabilities:                                                             


  • Master data spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities in the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
  • Make sure the team follows the Global Procurement governance in all projects, CRMC (Contract Risk Management Committee) approvals, eSourcing tools, Supplier Code of Conduct sign off, etc.
  • Keep close alignment with the country/hub manager.
  • Request feedback from stakeholders at all levels of the organization to continue improving the Indirect Procurement internal service. Act promptly on any given feedback.
  • Engage senior leaders in the Procurement and/or country/hub organization when there is a need to escalate any issues.
  • Be able to manage change and quickly adapt to organizational changes and/or market conditions.
  • Participate in Industry events to stay current related to procurement best practices, and bring new ideas to the organization.
  • Follow Stakeholder engagement best practices to better understand the business needs and align on resources and priorities.
  • Assign the right resources to support global and regional initiatives identified in the annual goal alignment.
  • Help the team to identify potential procurement risks, and provide direction to develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Manage key negotiations and bidding processes.
  • Conduct periodical IP staff meetings to ensure alignment with the Division and local teams, and prioritization of the initiatives.
  • Tracking of people development actions and required training.
  • Foster an open and collaborative environment.
  • Promote and facilitate the team learning of market conditions and trends, as well as internal Colgate processes.
  • Keep track of key areas of opportunity, maintaining a holistic view of the business, and bring solutions that will result in quality products and services at the best cost.
  • Ensure the teams follow the 7 Steps of the Strategic sourcing process, to achieve or exceed the savings and simplification goals.
  • Directly manage some key projects.  Balance and help to prioritize the team workload.
  • Make sure the team applies the agreed process to conduct the annual benchmarking exercises with similar companies to Colgate and internally with other Divisions.
  • Provide direction to the team in spend analytics.
  • Pursue a best in class procurement organization following best practices (category management, segmentation, simplification, etc.)
  • High compliance in contract execution, use of eBuy contracts, online agreements, catalogs.
  • Timely reporting and response to internal or external requirements.
