Colgate-Palmolive Company invites applications for our Customer Development Team Manager - Walmart Home Care position located in our Rogers office.

This important role manages all elements for Colgate Palmolive’s Dish & Fabric Conditioner business with Walmart. This role will elevate Colgate Palmolive’s strategic engagement with Walmart by translating brand strategies into sales & marketing plans to drive category growth, share & sales.  In this role, you will become the expert on your categories & the environment we operate in. By keeping the shopper at the center of our decisions, you’ll become a trusted partner with Walmart and translate that partnership into sustainable long term growth.  As part of a truly cross-functional team, you’ll work with your supply chain, RCD & Shopper Marketing partners as well as engage with the Customer Marketing, RCD & Brand Teams in New York to deliver these results, as well as ensure CP is great to do business with.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Partner with Walmart to grow sales, profitability & share

• Lead the relationship with your Walmart contacts, including the annual JBP process & regular touchbases with your buyers

• Own all elements of the CBP plan, manage 5Ps, forecasting and planning from beginning to end internally & externally

• Ensure that all Colgate-Palmolive Customer Development fundamentals are optimized

• Develop your team’s competencies and continually challenge your direct report to grow & expand their skills, knowledge & understanding of the business

• Lead the monthly discipline process, including collaboration with all cross functional resources to deliver accurate sales & volume forecasts

• Lead development of long lead, joint, "win-win" business plans including innovation covering sales, volume, and profitability, and incorporating customer’s objectives and strategy

• Ensure post-evaluation (through Direct Reports) of all promotions (results vs. objective, implementation accuracy, etc), supporting with qualitative commentary, communicating results to the commercial team, and using the results of promotion evaluations to refine customer tactics

• Stimulate a team approach across all cross-functional areas involved in developing Walmart's business

• Leverage consumer insights associated to drive category & brand growth

• Develop customer investment strategy, consistent with Retail Environment strategy, brand strategy, and Shopper Insights

• Responsible for instituting ROI mindset among the entire team to ensure focus on maximizing productivity of investments including systematic post evaluation of 5P activities and develop detailed understanding of the effectiveness of different investment levers (e.g., for promotions to calculate lift, return on investment, cannibalization effects, forward buying/pantry loading and all other relevant metrics)

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred

• 8+ years sales experience required

• Minimum 2 years key account experience with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account required

• CPG experience preferred

• Ability to travel approximately 25% of your time required
