Promote adoption of analytic thinking and methods in all facets of R&D. Demonstrate how analytic techniques (eg visualization, meta-analysis, AI/ML modeling) can be used to increase knowledge and improve decision making. Lead effort to improve quality and accessibility of R&D data. Work to increase integrability of diverse data sources. Raise organizational awareness and capabilities in statistics/analytics by developing classroom training courses, self-paced learning programs and sponsoring events/activities.


Main responsibilities:


  • Work with R&D teams to understand key data sources, and assess data quality and accessibility. Develop master data strategy for key sources to enable seemless data access and integration. 
  • Brainstorm with client teams to understand key analytics wants and needs. Develop appropriate use cases to address these needs.
  • Work with IT to create integrated data repository. With inputs from R&D leaders, prioritize legacy data sources for ETL (extract, transform, load) into R&D data repository.
  • Partner with R&D clients, SME's, and external partners to execute analyses. Use visualization to do exploratory meta data analysis. Use AI/ML techniques to develop predictive models.
  • Collaborate with R&D clients to improve data quality. Assess data consistency (eg, formats), completeness  (meta data) and data accuracy and precision. Institute appropriate procedures to improve data quality (eg validation, round-robin testing).
  • Network with other internal analytics practitioners to share learnings and best practices.
  • Work with Global Training team to develop analytics curriculum. Develop course content and work with Training team to develop appropriate learning tools.
  • Monitor, test, and procure new analysis software for data analytics, data processing/wrangling, and visualization.




  • Bachelor's degre (science, engineering)
  • Master´s degree (Statistics)
  • 8+ Years of Consumer Goods Industry Experience
  • 8+ Years of Functional Experience required
  • 4+ Years of Data Science Modeling preferred.




  • Familiarity with R&D innovation process, clinical and lab methods, stability testing
  • Familiarity with clinical design and analysis, and regulatory
  • Familiarity with master data development and basic data architecture principles
  • Excellent data manipulation, modeling and analysis skills
  • Familiarity with open source predictive modeling techniques and commercial stat software
  • Organizational skill with ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
