The position is for a Business Process Analyst (SG 11-12)  to further develop both SAP and non SAP applications to support business requirements and deliver the GIT grid.  The position is within the Global Technology category within GIT’s Global Applications & Americas group

 

The overall objective of this role is to:

 

  1. Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic R&D objectives and determine how to best support the business through the effective use of technology
  2. Architect and develop solutions in SAP-PLM to increase automation, integration with other solutions/systems and improve data quality
  3. Liaise with the Global Technology (R&D) business teams in defining business processes/ requirements and technical solutions
  4. Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems.

           

In addition, this position will require the application to:

 

  • Participate in projects of a cross-functional nature and evaluate/deliver/negotiate processes and applications to customers.

 

  • Identify opportunities to maximize current technology investments and optimize system processes and data flows.

 

  • Identify and assess new technology and concepts that can add value to the business.

 

  • Facilitate appropriate business involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.

 

  • Gather requirements and develop applications for strategic grid projects

 

  • Define, manage and/or perform the design, testing, implementation & documentation of IT systems according to agreed timelines, business requirements, regulatory requirements and global standards.

 

  • Liaise with the operations teams and act as the technical analyst to ensure the new functional configuration is moved into production environments without unintended impact on business units.

 

  • Learn new technologies as they are evaluated and selected as part of the Global Technology portfolio of applications.

 

Initial assignments in this role will be as follows:

 

  • Develop a solution to link formula data in the PLM system with SKU (Product) data in other SAP systems

 

  • Support development of a solution to automate integration of data from the PLM system to Smart Label

 

  • Assist in the migration of the Hill’s PLM system from SAP Recipe Management to SAP Recipe Development

 

 

This position requires the following qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience

 

  • Minimum of 2 years in a technical IT role, developing, configuring and implementing business applications.

 

  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

 

  • Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills.

 

  • Experience working with SAP PLM, Recipe Management/ Recipe Development, SAP MM

 

 

Preferred skills:

 

  • Minimum 2 Years’ experience working in ABAP, HANA and Webdynpro required
  • Project Management
  • Experience developing in XML and UI5
  • Experience with SAP-PPM, SAP-DMS, Workflow, and SAP-EHS
