The Full Stack developer & Data Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and development of different functionalities and processes within the Atlas software landscape.  This person will work in an agile team to develop applications and features across a broad application.  This person will be responsible for the end state design of the data within the application, how it is stored and accesses to ensure a consumer-grade experience around performance.

 

This position should be able to learn new technologies and tie business processes and requirements to full end to end designs.  And develop with a test-driven methodology. This role will involve planning, design, development and maintenance of our frontend and backend. The ideal candidate is very self-motivated and can work well both independently and within a team. They are a self-starter - eager to learn new technologies and consider security, performance and user interface implications in their designs.


 

Specifically, this position will have the responsibility to:

  • Develop web services to support our Customer Development Teams
  • Database design, and architecture of the application end to end, providing design, feedback, and gaining alignment from cross category teams on the approach.

  • Develop consumer grade web based applications
  • Manage and maintain the data model
  • Improve test coverage of existing code bases
  • Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and the agile team to ensure all requirements are met
  • Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance applications.


 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or similar degree
  • Experience with Python programming (Django experience is a plus)
  • Strong experience with test driven development methodologies
  • At least 3 years’ experience in database design, optimization, relational database technologies and data modeling
  • Experience developing frontend web applications (HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Modern JavaScript Frameworks like Angular and React)
  • Familiarity with REST API and web service development
  • Experience using version control software

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • At least 2 years’ experience developing and deploying end to end applications
  • Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams
  • Previous experience in a CPG company
  • Experience using user-centric design and applying User Experience concepts
