Business Process Analyst - SAP PLM

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Information Technology function as an Application Developer (Business Process Analyst) in the Global Technology (Research & Development) category.  This role will partner with the R&D business team to develop and implement applications (both SAP and non-SAP) to advance the business and deliver IT priorities.  It is an exciting opportunity that balances working with SAP and exploring new technologies.

 

The overall objective of this role is to:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic Research & Development objectives and determine how to best advance the business through the effective use of technology.
  • Architect and develop solutions in SAP-PLM to increase automation, comply with new and existing regulations,  integrate with other solutions/systems and improve overall data quality.
  • Liaise with the Global Technology business teams in defining business processes/ requirements and technical solutions
  • Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems.

 

In addition, this position will:

  • Participate in projects of cross-functional nature and evaluate/deliver/negotiate processes and applications to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize current technology investments and optimize system processes and data flows.
  • Identify and assess new technology and concepts that can add value to the business.
  • Facilitate appropriate business involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.
  • Gather requirements and develop applications for strategic grid projects
  • Define, manage and/or perform the design, testing, implementation & documentation of IT systems according to agreed timelines, business requirements, regulatory requirements, and global standards.
  • Liaise with operations teams and act as the technical analyst to ensure the new functional configuration is moved into production environments without unintended impact on business units.
  • Learn new technologies as they are evaluated and selected as part of the Global Technology portfolio of applications.

 

 

This position requires the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or another similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a technical IT role, developing, configuring and implementing business applications.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Experience gathering requirements, business process mapping, and managing large cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills.
  • Experience working with SAP PLM, Recipe Management/ Recipe Development, SAP MM.
  • Hands-on experience in ABAP / ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro, SAP Workflow, HANA Views, CDS, SAP DMS,
  • Previous experience with Python, Javascript, XML, JSON, GCP/AWS/Azure, UI5 preferred.
