We have an exciting opportunity as a Business Process Analyst to further develop both SAP and BI to support business requirements and deliver the Global IT grid. 

The position is within the Finance category within Colgate's Global IT Organization.

 

The overall objective of this role is to:

  1. Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic Finance objectives and determine how to best support the business through the effective use of technology in areas of Planning and Analytics
  2. Have a sound understanding of  Financial planning process, develop and support planning solutions in SAP Business Intelligence (SAP-BI)
  3. Liaise with the Global Finance business teams in defining business processes/ requirements and technical solutions
  4. Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems.

           

In addition, this position will require the application to:

 

  • Participate in projects of a cross-functional nature and evaluate/deliver/negotiate processes and applications to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize current technology investments and optimize system processes and data flows.
  • Identify and assess new technology and concepts that can add value to the business.
  • Facilitate appropriate business involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.
  • Gather requirements and develop applications for strategic grid projects
  • Define, manage and/or perform the design, testing, implementation & documentation of IT systems according to agreed timelines, business requirements, regulatory requirements and global standards.
  • Liaise with the operations teams and act as the technical analyst to ensure the new functional configuration is moved into production environments without unintended impact on business units.
  • Learn new technologies as they are evaluated and selected as part of the Global Finance portfolio of applications.

 

This position requires the following qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years with SAP BW 3.5  7.3 and PL-SQL on HANA is essential. Exposure to HANA studio is desirable
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills.

 

Preferred skills:

 

  • Experience developing in ABAP
  • Experience with data analytics , predictive modeling and data visualization tools is a plus
