Our Company invites applications for the position of IT -- Business Process Analyst, Analytics.  This candidate will join the Global Development Group within the Global Information Technology organization.  The person will be a member of a team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting Analytics application bundles used globally by over 10,000 Colgate employees and various business partners.  Specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing projects, end-to-end, using Agile software development methodology

  • Managing relationships and partnering with the global business category leads on overall project management

  • Testing, evaluating, and implementing leading-edge SAP software for BI and analytics

  • Supporting upgrades of BI systems

  • Migrating and enhancing applications to take full advantage of SAP’s HANA technology

  • Working with SAP development teams during beta testing, customer validation, and ramp-up product phases, ensuring that specific business needs of Colgate are communicated and addressed

  • Conducting business analysis and functional design activities for capturing, loading, storing, and retrieving data across all business functions of the organization, using SAP BW, HANA, Business Objects, Tableau and QlikView toolsets

  • Developing global BI and analytics bundles, helping to implement the same for all Colgate subsidiaries

  • Transitioning ongoing support of analytics bundles to divisional shared service organizations

  • Providing basic support and development on SAP BI and Business Objects data modeling i.e. data extraction, data manipulation

  • Performing a variety of roles such as business functional analyst, tester, developer, system architect, and trainer

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT organization developing, configuring, and implementing SAP BW with various visualization tools

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with SAP Business Objects, QlikView, and/or Tableau
  • Experience with SAP’s HANA or another in-memory database technology for BI analytics

  • Proficiency in ABAP programming

  • Mobile BI application development or implementation

  • Big Data platforms and Cloud computing experience

  • Able to communicate with and solicit requirements from business users

  • Strong oral & written communication skills

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms

  • Strong desire to expand knowledge of SAP applications on a technical level
