Our company invites applications for the Associate Manager, Clinical Operations position located at our Piscataway office. This position reports to the Chief Dental Officer and will serve as a key member of the Clinical Leadership team by providing critical operational support to Oral Care & Personal Care Clinical teams, Knowledge Management, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Research Organizations, academic partners and consultants.  The incumbent will be responsible for the overall contractual process and other agreements with external organizations; ensuring contractual documents comply with all relevant company policies and procedures.  In addition, this position serves as subject-matter-expert in the areas of company policies and procedures governing these agreements.  The incumbent will work closely with Company’s Legal and Finance Departments in undertaking contractual support activities and preparing and finalizing contractual arrangements with international and US-based partners.

 

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage all contractual negotiations and arrangements with external organizations
  • Partner with Legal to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and legal requirements, while meeting the goals of the department
  • Develop relationships within the insurance industry to explore financial models for reimbursement of services utilizing Colgate products
  • Interface with external organizations and academic partners
  • Drive execution of synergies in Knowledge Management between Oral Care and Personal Care categories
  • Execute mandatory legal and compliance clearances for planned projects
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all contracting activities, including approvals, justification for decisions, and other related information. Compile reports and analyses of contracting activity.
  • Guide the team in selecting the appropriate contracting format through the approval process for all agreements
  • Serve as a resource for interpretation of applicable compliance policies and procedures
  • Manage costs of potential contracts and clinical trials in regards to material, equipment services, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Execute contracting strategy in compliance with approved department’s budget
  • Liaison with University partners to identify faculty and research capabilities for key Colgate projects

 

Qualifications Required:

  • BA or BS in Finance, Business or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably in accounting, business and/or grant administration. Prior experience in the healthcare industry is required.
  • Extensive contractual and financial management experience, including working with finance, legal and compliance professionals
  • Experience developing and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Detailed understanding of the contracting process, including relevant terms and conditions
  • Experience in the preparation and execution of annual budgets
  • Experience developing policies, procedures and systems related to finance and accounting practices
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to plan and prioritize diverse workload, handle frequent deadlines, take initiative, self-motivate and function autonomously.
  • Strong operations and project management skills with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage several priorities simultaneously in a fast paced, changing environment;
  • Ability to work independently and possess excellent data gathering skills and the ability to creatively solve problems and formulate/implement process improvements.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team-based environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, financial software applications and reporting packages
