Position Purpose:

 

You are an important member of our Brand Experience Design team, leading the digital expression of our brands and designing internal digital products, platforms and tools. You are a fluent translator of strategy into effective brand experiences and design solutions that meet marketing and business objectives for US and Global Divisions. As a designer, you have a great eye and a strong technical ability for crafting delightful, intuitive easy-to-use digital experiences.

 

GD&P is the creative, visionary team responsible for the Colgate-Palmolive global portfolio of products which are found in 75% of every home in the world. We have over 20 brands in four categories – Home Care, Oral Care, Personal Care and Pet Care. Our deliverables range from the emotional components of a brand (look, tone and feel, brand identity) to the visual identity (product and package design, digital, video and photo production) for all of our brands

 

Let's talk about Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital brand experience excellence with internal and external partners
  • Discover opportunities to create internal and external digital tools to amplify our brands and lead the creation & transformation of digital experiences internally and externally.
  • Champion UX and UI systems while working with brand managers, designers, engineers and cross-functionally with the business departments across the company.
  • Experience working in digital teams, to ensure clean hand-off between design and engineering
  • Lead the growing digital “product” group and help to craft our approach to “product” design & development.
  • Effectively communicate creative strategy to influence design solutions.
  • Lead user testing through-out the design process
  • Collaborate with the e-Commerce team to drive digital brand experience across multiple e-tailers.  
  • Champion Colgate-Palmolive’s design-integrated philosophy and standards.
  • Manage project timelines and design budget effectively.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Design College Degree.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a digital design agency, brand or related creative industry.
  • Working knowledge of necessary software applications and platforms. (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Fast, fluent and fearless digital prototyping skills (Invision or similar).
  • Conversant in HTML and CSS (Javascript is nice to have). 

 

Capabilities:

  • Deep understanding of the principles of great design systems (i.e., color theory; typography, shape language etc.)
  • Able to effectively and calmly ‘juggle’ multiple assignments at one time.
  • An intuitive understanding of what makes a good experience.
  • Storytelling. You must be persuasive and have the ability to tell stories that influence people.
  • Great team player. Collaborative mindset.
