Job Summary


The Global Marketing Product Data & Digital Asset Manager accelerates global eCommerce sales and share growth by enabling eCommerce teams around the world with efficient and effective tools to manage product information and digital assets.  Drives growth and consumer engagement by ensuring Colgate has the right suites of tools for product data and assets management to seamlessly support eCommerce and websites across the Colgate and Hill’s world sites in a way that meets retailer requirements and increases efficiency of marketing, CDO and agency teams.  Is the Global Business Leader of Colgate’s product data and digital asset management capability, and in this capacity coordinates across division to understand needs/requirements/gaps and address this with IT, include testing and troubleshooting, as well as tool evaluation and selection.  Leads development and sharing of tool best practices, as well as development and facilitation of tool-related training.  Determines prioritization of country rollouts via alignment with division leads and global eCommerce strategy. 



Principal Duties and Responsibilities


 Product Data/Digital Asset Management Strategy

  • Select/Maintain tool(s) to facilitate data and image maintenance and deployment/syndication to retailer and sites
  • Recommend roles/responsibilities for product data and asset maintenance at Hub/Sub level; publish and gain alignment, escalate where gaps exist
  • Track tool usage to measure efficacy/identify gaps
  • Lead bimonthly steering committee meetings
  • Seek to benchmark Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management expectations/metrics and non-compete peer organizations


Global/Divisional Alignment

  • Meet regularly with each division and large hub/sub to review tool usage/gaps with each division and understand outstanding issues / enhancements / training needed
  • Lead global touchpoints to facilitate knowledge sharing across divisions
  • Attend Global eCommerce and GMC team meetings
  • Understand related business processes for system users, including  brand and eCommerce Marketing, eCommerce CDO, and agency partners
  • Ensure tool suite enables content localization and translations




  • Develop and update training materials to share with users
  • With GIT, lead training sessions for new users/hubs/subs
  • Lead/facilitate live virtual training sessions
  • Own Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management educational content on mindshare


Resource Alignment & Issue Resolution

  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings with GIT + Division teams to understand outstanding issues and ensure resolution
  • Meet regularly with GIT/GSSO leads to review work queue and available resources
  • With GIT, manage development queue to prioritize amidst competing priorities




Education/ Experience Requirements

Basic qualifications include: BS/BA with 5-7+ years of experience in brand marketing, retail marketing, trade/shopper marketing or management consulting


Preferred qualifications include: MBA. 2+ years of experience in CPG


Expected Areas of Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Project Management
  • Collaboration with CDO teams and retail partners


Preferred Areas of Experience

  • Brand/Retail/Shopper Marketing with Hill’s or other pet brand
  • Brand/Retail/Shopper Marketing for a division/hub/sub managing content in 3+ languages



Travel Requirements

Expected percentage of travel:  Up to 20%

Will need to be flexible in sometimes joining conference calls in off hours to accommodate stakeholder time zones
