We are looking for an extremely organized, proactive “Junior Chief of Staff” to join our team as a Studio Manager. This is a role with lots of opportunity—the person we’re looking for is high octane with a “no task is too small” mentality.  Positive energy and inter-personal skills are a must—this person will act as liaison between multiple teams and should be able to handle people of all levels in a smooth, efficient way.


GD&P is the creative, visionary team responsible for the Colgate-Palmolive global portfolio of products which are found in 75% of every home in the world. We have over 20 brands in four categories – Home Care, Oral Care, Personal Care and Pet Care. Our deliverables range from the emotional components of a brand (look, tone and feel, brand identity) to the visual identity (product and package design, digital, video and photo production) for all of our brands.


This role is critical in supporting us as we grow and scale—the right person will work in the heart of the team, in our New York headquarters and report into the World Wide Brand Design Director.


The bulk of this job involves managing projects, financials and relationships, working closely with various cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain process and workflow with both the design team and our on-site agency.





  • Manage the creative processes and/or create new ones that help the Design team produce quality work more quickly.
  • Help define operational strategy and workflow for the on-sites day-to-day operations:

– Maintain accurate and timely project documentation

– Supports Senior Design Managers

– Understand the dynamics of working within a CPG culture Operations & Process Management

  • Task & Timeline Management: Manage creative requests. Assign, track all statuses, tasks and deadlines.
  • Meeting Scheduling & Prep: Schedule meetings; take notes and share with GD&P design team at project meetings.


Manage On-site Agency & Freelance Network:


  • Manage day-to-day working relationships with on-site designers. Initiate and recommend continuous improvement to the design system and work practice.
  • Maintain our current network of freelancers
  • Source new talent and creative services to grow new capabilities and meet added demand as needed.
  • Build relationships with Senior Design Managers to understand individual category needs & design strategies.


Contract / Budget / Invoice Management:


  • Ensure all estimates and budgets are well accounted for and well managed.
  • Flag any over – or under – spending to the World Wide brand Design Director.
  • Track, monitor and report financials for on-site design agency activity.
  • Be a change agent for new tools, systems and processes that can make us more efficient.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very good understanding of business operations
  • Very good understand of accounting systems and software
  • Excellent knowledge of necessary software applications/platforms such as the Google Suite,  Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Basecamp or similar





  • Bachelor Degree.
  • 5+ years professional experience in a creative industry. Could also be in a start-up environment
