Job Summary

The role is responsible for developing course content using design elements across various learning methods: eLearning, videos, podcasts, infographics, games, wikis, classroom materials etc. Additionally, this role is a key liaison with the Learning teams in our shared service organization executing the process of getting eLearning through online review to launch. Finally, the role also supports course maintenance, modifications as needed, as well as, identifying and recommending potential development tools.

 

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop course content using design elements, needs analysis results and various development tools
  • Develop facilitator led and digital learning materials, including user guides, participant guides, facilitator guides, presentations, quick-reference guides, job aides, learning activities, learning assessments, e-learning, videos and other modalities
  • Work with key partners to review needs analysis results and develop considerations
  • Review content design and document course development requirements
  • Submit content for review with business subject matter experts and other key partners
  • Complete updates to course content based on business input (including online review, real world test or pilot participant feedback)
  • Understand planned delivery method for content and coordinate with CBS Delivery and Administration team as needed
  • Understand learning evaluation results to ensure feedback is incorporated into future development activities
  • Troubleshoot and escalate, per procedure, technical issues and works with GIT and 3rd party providers as appropriate to resolve
  • Support existing course maintenance and modification as needed
  • Track the assigned budget for development
  • Identify and recommend potential course development tools
  • Develop learning program communications as needed
  • Suggest best practices to improve methodologies, tools, and templates

Education/ Experience Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • 3+ years of Learning Development experience
  • BA or other advanced degree in instructional design, graphic design, digital design, motion graphics, and illustration.
  • Master’s preferred
  • Project Management experience
  • Familiarity with current learning management systems
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies desirable
  • Knowledge of processes, tools, techniques for developing a solution to stated learning needs including knowledge of developing solutions using mobile and web 2.0, formal and informal learning, and tools including LCMS’s, Articulate, Lectora, html5,U Perform, video etc.

 

Areas of Skills

  • Knowledge of methods and alternatives for delivering learning solutions
  • Knowledge of tools, and techniques for evaluating the effectiveness and impact of learning
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines
