Experience : 1+ years’ experience in Data Center operations and IT related field / Experience with DB2 / Networking / System Administration

Education

Any Electronics/Telecom/Computer Science/Information Technology Graduate

The IT Operations Associate Analyst / Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the systems environment through basic monitoring & L2 troubleshooting of the global infrastructure, SAP Basis & Systems (AIX/Linux, windows). In addition they are responsible for the resolution and/or escalation of the production incidents.

Purpose & Accountabilities: 

The IT Operations Associate Analyst / Associate Analyst is responsible for

  • Ensuring the effective operation of the systems environment through L2 troubleshooting of the global infrastructure, business processes, and applications. 
  • Responsible for the resolution and/or escalation of the production incidents.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all monitoring is consistent for the Infrastructure of the ESC for system reliability.
  • Take corrective actions to resolve incidents to ensure performance and preventing any impact to the business.
  • Working with Network Administrators, System Administrators, SAP Basis Administrators, application owners and other technical staff to ensure procedures are followed and resolution of incidents are completed.
  • Keeping team leaders and managers up-to-date regarding incidents and outstanding items.
  • Ensure all critical incidents are communicated to senior management.
  • Documentation of all incidents through ticketing system.
  • Create and verify troubleshooting procedural documentation for future reference and increased learning capacity of the Production Control Team and involved ESC teams.
  • Available to cover Production Control departments 24x7 shift schedule including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform first and second level troubleshooting support for all ESC systems including Oracle, DB2, AIX, Windows and SAP to ensure the Colgate business is not impacted.
  • Perform daily operations such as Tape Backups/Vaulting, SAP OSS connections, NOI alert monitoring, Incident Management, KPI recording, System Recycles, Printer setups and other required activities.
  • Perform daily, weekly and month end procedures in line with schedule.
  • Keep all Production Control staff members up-to-date regarding incidents and outstanding items by updating and communicating shift turnover.
  • Execution of program changes to SAP systems using the SAP CHARM system (transport management) and standard SAP STMS transaction.  i.e. transports
  • Setting up basic SAP job scheduling in Workload Control Center (Autosys) as requested by SSO's and Global Development teams
  • Start up and shut down of SAP services, AIX, windows systems, and various applications services like web services and windows services when required such as during monthly maintenances
  • Knowledge of cloud environment as an added advantage

Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in Data Center operations or IT related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to coordinate with different stakeholders and team members worldwide.
  • Willingness to work in shifts including morning, weekends and holidays
  • Basic skills of SAP basis which includes HANA
  • Basic skills of AIX, LINUX, and windows based operating systems
  • Basic skills of Autosys and related tools, Expertise of JIL code programing
  • Basic skills of Networking technologies
  • Basic skills of IBM monitoring tools
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills are desired
  • Should have experience and elevated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • He / she should be a team player being able to work with cross functional teams.
  • Hands-on issue troubleshooting experience with DB2/ HANA / Networking / System Administration
  • Be a self-starter and possess a self-learning attitude
