Job Purpose

 

The AM Shopper Development leads & drives initiatives in the branch playing a pivotal role in implementing & evaluating the activities driven to achieve sales objectives, distribution & key RE activations/engagement plans within time budget parameters in co-ordination with the field teams.

 

Job Context & Challenges

 

  • Identification of key category/brand opportunities in a dynamic market scenario and taking the right actions promptly
  • Analyze past performance of programs/activations/schemes and suggest improvements to category / brand plans with an intent to grow the category & channel sales
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of the launches / test markets and make necessary amendments
  • Execute trade activities consistent with budget allocation
  • Manage and control trade spends for the category / brands
  • Continuously seeking opportunities to grow the urban business based on shopper insights / feedback from trade
  • Gather data and closely monitor competitor activities and performance

GTM and Coverage Expansion

 

 

- Drive and track coverage expansion by rolling out urban initiatives to drive OL addition

- Roll out initiatives to drive active accounts and overall ERC for urban centres in the branch

- Implement GTM for new product launches ensuring quick and effective implementation on ground across target REs

Capitalising on the Urban opportunities

 

 

- Identify key opportunities to drive share and volume gains across urban centres

- Roll out key Urban initiatives in the branch

- Drive engagement across key customers - MT/GSX/MSX. Roll out engagement and strategic initiatives to win in these REs

Premiumization

 

 

- Drive specific initiatives to promote 4C focus products across markets

- Initiate and roll out assortment drives across categories and REs

- Plan initiatives to drive premium portfolio mix in toothbrushes across focus REs

POP Usage and Speed on Ground

 

 

 

- Plan effective POP allocations across markets to roll out shopper communication initiatives across REs

- Timely and proper utilisation of POPs thus ensuring speed of execution on ground and minimal wastage

- Identify shopper communication opportunities across REs in urban markets and co-ordinate with SDM/ CM team to capitalise on the same

- Track competitive activities on ground and ensure reporting format in a timely manner

Training and Development

 

 

 

- Drive merchandiser and SSM training modules on ground. Co-ordinate with AMs to roll out training modules

- Ensure HH availability/ training/ utilisation and upgrade across urban SSMs

- Ensure timely availability and proper usage of Selling tools across field teams

- On ground implementation and engagement of RE Panel. Roll out an engagement and communication calendar

     

 

 

Experience:

Essential: Should have worked as Sales Manager in FMCG industry

 

No. of yrs of Exp reqd.: 3 Years    

 

Qualification:

Essential:  Should have done PGDM/MBA from Premier  institute
