Sr. Analyst  /  Assistant Manager -  CBS Analytics

                                                                                                                                                 

JOB PROFILE

                                                                        

The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the development including deployment of Colgate’s analytic solutions and services for Marketing and Customer Development (Sales) across our divisions (Asia, Africa/Eurasia, Europe, Hills North America). Solution development would include providing analytics expertise in collaboration with IT and COE, while solutions deployment will include being part of migration teams to transfer analytic-related tasks from subsidiaries or business partners to Colgate Business Services (CBS) regarding external data management, diagnostic reporting and deep dive analysis to support on the ground activities in our subsidiaries and hubs.   The incumbent must have effective written and oral communication with business stakeholders, internal IT partners and external strategic business partners.  In general, the incumbent must be an analytic thinker with the ability to work with large data sets, detail-oriented, problem solver, collaborative and customer-oriented (proactive and responsive to stakeholder needs).

Primary Accountabilities (Responsibilities / Tasks)

  • Development of scalable data management and reporting solutions to support analytics for Marketing and Customer Development (Sales) working with Analytic COE and Global Analytics Functional Leads
  • Experience in Consumer Segmentation, Data interpretation & visualization , purchase behavior, new launch analysis 
  • Experience in Retail Measurement Services / POS/ Consumer Panel  (CPS)/ Household Panel data
  • Develop and manage visualization deliverables that bring to life the data sets allowing for drill downs, diagnostics and self-service by the functions in the center and on the ground.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and Global Analytics COE for scalable and cost effective Technology based analytics solutions/ modules
  • Development and execution of recruitment, on-boarding & training programs to build our analytic talent
  • Communicate and coordinate with Divisions and subsidiaries as part of development and deployment of analytics solutions in Colgate and Hill’s subsidiaries and hubs
  • Ready to work collaboratively with business partners across geographies
  • Good hands on experience in analytical tools
  • Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques
  • Good facilitation and project management skills
  • Assist with change management needs (e.g., training, communications, etc.) as part of roll-out and on-going support of analytic tools, processes and services.
  • Experience with third-party data i.e. syndicated market data, Point of Sales, etc.
  • Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry< >High level of comfort with large sets of data and attention to details and passion for accuracyProblem-solver, with analytic thinking and ability to apply root cause analysis Ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and meet deadlines Effective written and oral communication.Ability to maintain personal composure and tactfully handle difficult situations.
  • Good listening and collaboration skills to enhance project team effectiveness

  • Bachelor of  Sciences, Technology, Statistics or related
  • Master’s in Business or Analytics related (preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience
