Position:   Brand Manager (Care)

Reports to:  Senior Brand Manager

Location:     Bangkok, Thailand

 

Job Summary:  Overall, the Brand Manager is responsible for managing assigned subcategory /brand at the Greater Indochina Hub level to achieve the agreed market share and P&L/financial objectives, in line with the company strategies.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Build brand equity and achieve both business objective and marketing objective.
  • Business planning, business analysis, consumer understanding, retailer understanding, competitive tracking and analysis & development of specific insights.
  • Development & timely implementation and Results monitoring of IMC Campaign, New product launches.
  • Actively participates in the Commercial Business Planning (CBP) identify & provide solution to address business gaps and opportunities.
  • Lead & coordinate closely with cross functional teams e.g. Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Finance to develop promotion plans and new product launches, promotion bundles with ROI mindset.
  • Lead innovation projects including New Product Concept development and other related projects including consumer insights, formulation change / transition plans, IMC material development (TVC, Key Visuals).

 

Marketing Strategy

  • Coordinates the implementation of the overall sub-category & brand strategies, including 5P guidelines to achieve/exceed market share & financial objectives. 
  • Work with Insights & Research team on preparing the actionable recommendations to address ongoing business challenges.
  • Develops category & brand portfolio strategy & SKU management recommendations for GIH (Greater Indochina).

 

Media Management

  • Leads/develops and communicates media strategy guidelines & updates to Media Agency for the subcategory.  
  • Supervises and approves media planning & buying for subcategory.

 

Key Performance indicators and  financial  Accountabilities

Is responsible for driving the following at GIH level:

  • Subcategory P&L
  • Subcategory Market Share
  • Key CS&L KPI’s for subcategory: DPA, SKU count, SLOB
  • Advertising subcategory budget
  • Effective & efficient spending management for subcategory taking into account.
  • SKU simplification

 

New Product Development

  • Develops master materials (key visuals, media support, master POP/KV) to support new product launches.
  • Roll- out new product launches plans.

 

Marketing Budget Review & Mid-Year Review

  • Develops Budget Review strategies & plans for Division approval.
  • Develops budgets / A&P by subcategory and brand.
  • Supervises preparation of marketing charts for Budget Review in cooperation with Retail Marketing (SOM/SOV, Pricing, Distribution, Promo Flowcharts) and Media Agency (Media Flowcharts, Media Strategy). Coordinates with business analyst to use centralized & automated reporting tools where possible to prepare charts (e.g. SOM, pricing, etc).

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in marketing, business or related areas
  • At least 2 year of marketing experience preferably in Consumer Goods Industry
  • Good English communication skills and  100% Thai proficiency 
  • Able to travel within Thailand and AEC countries
